Genre - Comedy 

Content 
  • comedy builds an emotional, positive connection to a brand.
  • Every day comedic movies and tv shows are released.
Production Techniques 
  • Camera Shots Angles and composition: 

Zoom in, Zoom out, close-ups 
  • Mostly high key lighting is used in viewings of comedic movies and shows.
  • Bright colors in most scenes 
  • Sound effects (pre-recorded laughter)
Instrumental conventions 
  • Audience: The audiences targeted when it comes to comedy, is mostly children as young as 4 to people sold as 75/80. The movie view rating plays a huge factor in the people targeted.
  • Comedy is marketed through many ways, one of the biggest ways its marketed is by using Social Medias such as Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc. for things such as movies and tv shows. Another way comedy is marketed is through advertisement, using a celebrity for example.

  • TAG (2018)  dir. Jeff Tomsic
The movie TAG embodies the genre of comedy because it is a classic story about a group of male friends reuniting, thanks to their game of tag, its a very playful adventurous comedy that keeps the audience giggling. The point of this comedy is to laugh along/at the characters. It also pulls the audience away from their reality to live through this fun, exciting, hilarious experience.

This film embodies the genre of comedy because of its classic teen vibes. This movie is more marketed toward teens, the relatable quotes and scenes have teens laughing along with the film. This movie is extremely well known for its quotes, which are comedic because of what is taking place in the scene.
